Create, Edit and Delete HTML Templates in SAP

HTML templates are utilized in SAP systems in creation of user interface design for barcode readers, POS scanners etc. This article explains how to create, edit, and delete HTML templates in SAP.

The steps below shows how to create an HTML Template in SAP.

Step-1: First, open Object Navigator reached by SAP transaction code SE80. From there click on Repository Browser button located in navigation area. Then choose Internet Service category from list of objects below. Enter the name of your Internet Service to see HTML templates belonging to your service.

Step-2: In this example, screen ‘200’ of the program ‘ZSDRF001’ was changed, then the HTML template of this screen was recreated. Now, we must find the right screen number and program name.

Step-3: Then, Delete screen ‘200’ of the program ‘ZSDRF001’.

Step-4: After deleting progress,we have to create a HTML Template again. Right click on main folder(ZLM00), go to HTML Template in Create branch.

Right Click -> Create -> HTML Template

Step-5: In this pop-up screen, enter the name of your Internet Service and Theme number, Select “Generate HTML from Dynpro” radio button, then write your program name, screen number. In this example, program “ZSDRF001” will work in mobile devices, so I choose Generating Style MOBILE4 Mobile Devices. After all information is entered, clicking the Save button will be enough.

Step-6: After save HTML template, just click publish template button.

Step-7: Check program and screen status, is it just saved or save and published? Be careful, we must see that “Saved/published”.

Step-8: Finally, everything is done, test HTML Template by right click main folder and click Start Service. It will run correctly if you have done everything right.
